Building Stitch & Tape DVD now available. |
Jordan Boats will create plywood kits for almost any boat design. In the past four years we have made up kits for over 50 designs from Selway Fisher, Iain Oughtred, Dudley Dix, Conrad Natzio, and several kits for client designs. We've recently added Walt Simmons of Ducktrap and George Whisstock to the designers whose designs we have made into kits.
Please contact us if you are looking for a plywood kit for Clinker Ply or Stitch and Tape designs, or need moulds cut for strip plank or cold moulded designs.

The filming of the remaining chapters for the second DVD is now scheduled to take place in July. It has not been easy to find the time when both producer Graham Young and I are able to spend the time together due to our work schedules and the necessity of making a living. The DVD programme is entirely funded from our own pockets. As the sales of the first DVD have been slower than we would have liked, we are as yet a long way from seeing our expenses from making the first DVD covered. We do appreciate that many purchasers of the first DVD are keen to see the second volume as soon as possible - we will get this completed as soon as we can, and notify you shortly before it will be available for release. The second volume should be available in the late summer of 2008. UK Home Built Boat RalliesSeveral Rallies took place in 2007. The running of this "non-Club" has been handed over to some willing and enthusiastic volunteers who are now running the website and organising rallies. The first rally of 2008 took place at Barton Turf on the Norfolk Broads. Several more rallies are also being planned through the summer. Kit NewsThe Oughtred Wee Seal Kit has been shipped. We have also shipped a kit for Michael Storer's Goat Island Skiff. We are in the process of kitting Andrew Wolstenholme's Coot design. The next Kit will be the Ducktrap Wherry. We've started work on the National Solo class dinghy, but with no interest (so far) in actual production, this has been put aside to concentrate on new commissions and the DVDs. Iain Oughtred's Catalogue Online.With Iain's permission, we've scanned the pages of his Catalogue, and these are available here. Iain is nearing completion on the plans for the long awaited scaled up Tammie Norrie, to be called the Sea Hen (not the Skua as the scuttlebutt has been calling it). Plans should be available from Iain at the end of May. We will of course be able to kit the design when requested.

Kits in......USA and CanadaWe are in discussion with a company in Maine to cut the Oughtred sailing kits. Once insurance and regulatory issues are settled we will be able to sell these kits in the USA. ...Australia & New Zealand
